The School Social Worker Certification is issued by the NYS Education Department-Office of Teaching Initiatives.

The requirements for the Provisional and Permanent Certificates are available on their website. Click on the following link http://eservices.nysed.gov/teach/certhelp/CertRequirementHelp.do

In the sequence of drop down boxes select the following options:

1. Administration and Pupil Personnel Services
2. Social Work
3. Pre-K – 12 All Grades
4. School Social Worker
5. Select the option for either Provisional Certificate OR Permanent Certificate
