An act to amend the social services law, in relation to Medicaid co-payments for prescription drugs and other services.
Synopsis:
This bill seeks to limit the Medicaid recipients who are not required to provide co-payments.
Currently, pregnant women, individuals under the age of 21, individuals in long term or residential care facilities, and individuals in HMOs which provide comprehensive health services or managed care programs are not responsible for co-payments.
Status:
This bill was referred to the Assembly Health Committee on 1/9/08 and referred to the Senate Social Services Committee on 1/9/08.
