Social Work Students in the Northeast Division Get a Valentines’ Day Treat!
On Wednesday, February 10th Northeast Division Director John Allegretti-Freeman, LCSW-R, with the help of steering committee members Sharon Kollar and Pat Maxon, shared the spirit of St. Valentines’ Day with social work students at the UAlbany and Siena Campuses, offering a sweet treat as well as an information on the benefits of membership and ways to get involved with the Northeast division. Students were encouraged to become active members as they prepare to launch their social work careers after graduation this spring. This is the second year for the Valentines’ Day recognition, which John hopes will become a division tradition, and expand to all of the local social work programs.
Special thanks to Donna McIntosh and Dawn Knight-Thomas for their assistance in coordinating the visits on their respective campuses.
