Protections for Reporters

Immunity
Mandated Reporters are legally protected from any liability when
they make a report in good faith and within the scope of their employment
and their official duties. (Social Services Law, Section 419)
>> Confidentiality
Your name cannot
be released as the person who gave the report unless you have given
written permission to do so. When making a report, you can also
stress the need for confidentiality if the situation warrants it.
