The NASW-NYS Suffolk Division is thrilled to have awarded this year’s student scholarship to Hope Moore (BSW Student, Stony Brook University) and Elizabeth Hehir (MSW Student, Stony Brook University) at the 2017 Suffolk Division Awards Luncheon on April 22, 2017. Each scholarship comes with a $500 award and a one-year NASW Student Membership.

Ms. Moore and Ms. Hehir were chosen based on their exemplary articulation on how Long Island social work students can best contribute to the 2017 Social Work Stand Up Campaign and promote a positive, accurate image of our profession, and to clarify what [social workers] do, who we are, and our mission and values in the minds of public locally.

We encourage you to take time and read their entry submission, and join us in congratulating them!
